Foods to Avoid on Tracleer

Adults who have pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) may benefit from using Tracleer® (bosentan). Dosing instructions call for taking these tablets twice daily, once in the morning and again in the evening. You can take your doses with or without food. If the medicine seems to bother your stomach, try taking it with food.

Although taking food with Tracleer may help prevent stomach upset, there are foods you should avoid while taking this drug. For example, do not drink grapefruit juice while taking this medication unless your healthcare provider tells you it is okay to do so. Grapefruit juice may increase the amount of Tracleer in your bloodstream.
