Side Effects of Tiotropium

In clinical studies, common side effects of tiotropium included upper respiratory infections, dry mouth, and sore throat. These side effects are typically minor -- if they even occur -- and are easily treated. However, if you develop wheezing, chest pain, severe constipation, or other serious side effects, contact your healthcare provider right away.

 

Side Effects of Tiotropium: An Introduction

As with any medicine, side effects are possible with tiotropium bromide (Spiriva®); however, not everyone who takes the drug will experience side effects. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well. If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or can easily be treated by you or your healthcare provider.
