Lungs Home > Drug Interactions With Mometasone Inhalers

The mometasone inhaler (Asmanex®) can potentially interact with one other medication, ketoconazole (Nizoral®). Combining ketoconazole with the mometasone inhaler may raise the level of mometasone in your blood, increasing your risk of side effects. If you are taking these drugs together, your healthcare provider may need to decrease your dosage of the mometasone inhaler -- though this may not be necessary.

It is possible that there are other drug interactions with mometasone inhalers that are not known at this time. Therefore, you should talk with your pharmacist or healthcare provider about the specific mometasone inhaler drug interactions that may apply to you.
