Lungs Home > Adcirca Warnings and Precautions

Who Should Not Take Adcirca?

You should not take Adcirca if you:
  • Take nitrate medicines, even if you take them infrequently. Taking these medications together can cause an unsafe drop in blood pressure. You must wait at least two days after your last Adcirca dose before you can use a nitrate.
  • Take certain medicines used to treat erectile dysfunction, such as Cialis (tadalafil), Viagra (sildenafil citrate), or Levitra (vardenafil).
  • Are allergic to Adcirca, Cialis, tadalafil, or any of the inactive components used to make the medication. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients.

Final Thoughts

There are a number of situations in which this drug should not be used, as well as several safety issues people should be aware of before starting treatment. However, it is possible that not all of the warnings or precautions with Adcirca were discussed in this article. Therefore, talk with your healthcare provider about the specific safety concerns that may apply to you.
