Tracleer Medication Information

Available by prescription only, Tracleer® (bosentan) is a medicine used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) in adults. It works by preventing the blood vessels from constricting (narrowing).
 
This medicine comes as tablets that are taken twice daily, in the morning and evening. Your dosage will be calculated based on your weight, other medications you are taking, and whether you develop side effects. Some of the commonly reported side effects include headaches, swelling, and respiratory tract infections.
 
Before starting treatment with Tracleer, your healthcare provider will need information on your medical history and any other medications, vitamins, or supplements you are using. He or she will also ask if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, whether you have liver disease, and if you have any allergies.
