Amoxicillin/Clavulanate Potassium XR Information

Amoxicillin/clavulanate potassium XR (Augmentin XR®) is a prescription antibiotic that comes in the form of a tablet. It is approved to treat sinus infections and pneumonia caused by certain types of bacteria. In most cases, it is taken twice a day. Before taking this antibiotic, tell your healthcare provider if you have any allergies or are pregnant or breastfeeding. Your healthcare provider also needs information on your medical history, such as whether you have liver or kidney disease.
