Letairis Drug Interactions

Letairis® (ambrisentan) is a prescription medicine used in the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension. It belongs to a group of medicines known as endothelin receptor antagonists.

This medication can potentially interact with other medicines. More specifically, Letairis can interact with cyclosporine (Gengraf®, Neoral®, Sandimmune®), a medication used to prevent organ rejection after transplants and to treat certain types of arthritis and psoriasis.

Cyclosporine can increase Letairis blood levels, potentially increasing the risk for Letairis side effects. The dose of Letairis should not exceed 5 mg a day in people who are also taking cyclosporine.

It is possible that not all drug interactions with Letairis were discussed in this article. Therefore, you should talk with your pharmacist or healthcare provider about any specific interactions that may apply to you.
