Side Effects of Formoterol Solution
Possible side effects of formoterol solution include diarrhea, nausea, and an irritated nose and throat. In most cases, the side effects are minor and can easily be treated by you or your healthcare provider, if necessary. However, there are also certain side effects of formoterol solution that should be reported to a healthcare provider right away, such as worsening breathing problems.
Side Effects of Formoterol Solution: An Introduction
As with any medicine, there are possible side effects with
formoterol solution (
Perforomist™). However, not everyone who takes the medication will experience side effects. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well. When side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or can easily be treated by you or your healthcare provider.

Side Effects of Formoterol Solution to Report
There are a number of possible side effects with formoterol solution that you should report immediately to your healthcare provider. These include, but are not limited to:
- Breathing problems that are becoming worse
- An irregular heart rhythm (arrhythmia)
- A very fast heart rate (tachycardia)
- High blood pressure (hypertension)
- Anxiety
- Signs of an allergic reaction, including an unexplained rash, hives, itching, unexplained swelling, wheezing, or difficulty breathing or swallowing.
