Effects of Exercise on Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

If you have not been exercising regularly, you should talk to your doctor before starting. The symptoms of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease are different for each person. People with mild chronic obstructive pulmonary disease may not have much difficulty walking or exercising. As the symptoms get worse over time, however, a person may have more difficulty. It's also a good idea to talk to your doctor about whether you would benefit from a pulmonary rehab program.
