Chantix™ is a prescription drug that is licensed to help people stop smoking. It works by binding to nicotine receptors in the brain, which helps to prevent the pleasurable effects of smoking and reduce effects of nicotine withdrawal. The drug comes in tablet form and is usually taken once or twice a day for 12 weeks. Potential side effects of Chantix include dry mouth, nausea, insomnia, and headache.
