Adcirca Drug Interactions

Other Phosphodiesterase Type-5 Inhibitors (PDE5 Inhibitors)
Adcirca is a PDE5 inhibitor and should not be used in combination with other PDE5 inhibitors. Using more than one PDE5 inhibitor will increase the risk of serious side effects. PDE5 inhibitors are sometimes used for erectile dysfunction (ED or impotence). Please talk with your healthcare provider before taking a medication for erectile dysfunction if you take Adcirca.
Taking Adcirca in combination with sapropterin may cause your blood pressure to decrease too much. Your healthcare provider may choose to monitor your blood pressure more closely if you take these medications together.
Adcirca should not be used in combination with nitrate medications. Taking these medications together may decrease your blood pressure to unsafe levels. You should not use Adcirca even if you use a nitrate very infrequently, because you cannot predict when you will need the nitrate.
