Accolate Drug Interactions

A few of the drugs that can potentially cause Accolate drug interactions include cyclosporine, aspirin, erythromycin, and warfarin. Taking these and certain other medicines along with Accolate can alter the levels of Accolate in your blood, possibly increasing your risk of side effects. You should be sure to talk with your pharmacist or healthcare provider about any drug interactions with Accolate that may apply to you.

Aspirin
Taking Accolate with aspirin may raise the level of Accolate in your blood, possibly increasing your risk of side effects. Talk with your healthcare provider before taking aspirin with Accolate.
 
Carbamazepine (Carbatrol, Epitol, Equetro, Tegretol, Tegretol XR)
Taking carbamazepine with Accolate can raise the level of carbamazepine in your blood, perhaps increasing your risk of side effects. If you are taking these drugs together, your healthcare provider may need to monitor the level of carbamazepine in your blood -- especially when you are starting or stopping Accolate.
